The history of Timedots
In 1999, Thomas Birkebęk and Jesper Just Nielsen designed the wall clock "Timeless." Shortly after established Birkebaek as a company within the organisation Young Enterprise. In 2000, Birkebaek won the Danish competition in entrepreneurship, and participated in the European entrepreneur championship at the worldexhibit EXPO 2000 in Hannover, Germany.
At the end of the Young Enterprise project, the compay name changed to Birkebaek & Just. The range was expanded to 11 models of different wall clocks, world clocks and table clocks. The clocks of B&J was sold through watchmakers in Denmark and exclusive shops around Europe and USA.
In addition to the production of clocks B&J also experimented with designs of lamps, bowls, flowerpots, candlesticks and dish mats.
In 2005, Birkebaek Group took over B&J and re-organised production, so the range of products was reduced and the dealer network was replaced by online trading.
In 2008, the company name was changed to Timedots and the production exclusively focused on the wall clock Flextime.
